March 26th, 2008

March 26, 2008
I’ve named my blog Nuggets. I told my sister and she gave me that “you’re strange” tone of voice and asked, “Nuggets? Why nuggets?” Nuggets are what I call the little lumps of wisdom or inspiration I’ve pulled out of various encounters or situations I’ve had through the day. I want to share them through this blog. For example, if I listen to my Pastor for an hour and a half on Sunday morning I most likely won’t remember it all. But as I listen I write down those things that speak to me personally. Those are my little nuggets I take away from his sermon. Precious little lumps of wisdom that make a difference in my life. You can do that with nearly anything. You can do that with this blog.

I’m not sure how it will all pan out (pun intended) but my main goal is to share positive, uplifting, inspiring things I come across on a (mostly) daily basis. It doesn’t mean I won’t share disappointments or the like but I will try and pull out the good from the bad or the best from the better for that matter.

On that note I’ll just jump on in and I’ll leave you with 2 brief quotes that I got from this blog yesterday that SHOUTED out to me.

“Sin is what we do when you are not fully satisfied in God.”
—John Piper, Future Grace, p. 9.

“If we are not fulfilled and secure in God, we will inevitably seek other sources of happiness and security.”
—Ken Sande, The Peacemaker: A Biblical Guide to Resolving Personal Conflict, p. 112.

~ Lord be our satisfaction.
